RC'S NYC PIZZA & PASTA - The Woodlands

First time visiting this place and we were impressed. Read a lot of the reviews before going and the overwhelming majority were great. A couple of lower rated reviews by people claiming their pizza's were burned. There's a sign on the door as you walk in letting you know that they cook their pizzas until done and mostly a crispy crust (this is NY and New Haven style). Had a couple glasses of wine (generous pour) and some fried cheese ravioli with their homemade marina sauce (excellent). We ordered a NY style half and half pizza to go (meaty new yorker and lady liberty veggie). This pizza was cooked perfectly! A nice brown undercarriage and full of ingredients. Disregard the negative comments from those who might prefer soggy, domino's style, pizza. We even purchased some of their marinara sauce to take home. I will definetely go back. The service was excellent and the owner and several employees checked with us regularly and asked if everything was to our liking. YES!

Y'all, we have had a LOT of gluten-free pizza over the years, and RC's is right up there with the best of them. We always do take-out, but dining in has cheerful & casual Italian vibes with Frank Sinatra setting the mood. Peak GF pizza, breadsticks, and dessert!

Highly recommend the meaty new yorker! It reminds me of the pizza we used to get in upstate NY when I was a teen. The service is fantastic with friendly staff. Also, the music is perfectly classic.

I found it the way most good things find you these days: a rabbit hole. Some guy on TikTok making pizza videos, somebody else trying to get his attention by posting about this place. I’d never had New Haven-style pizza. That felt like a gap worth closing. We rolled in at 4:00. The dinner rush hadn’t hit yet, and that meant we got Kennedy, the owner’s son, practically to ourselves. Kid knows the menu like a family recipe, because it is one. RC’s has been at this since 2003, built on one mission: break the chain. Twenty years, two locations, and they clearly haven’t forgotten why they started. Kennedy walked us through the hits. We ordered accordingly. The wings came first, and nothing was ever the same again. Half Thai sauce, half chipotle barbecue. These were not bar wings. The size was a statement, but the crunch was the real story. Structural. The kind that holds under sauce and doesn’t apologize. Flavor all the way through. Ten pieces to split, and we nearly tapped out right there. Which made the arrival of an 18-inch New Haven apizza both a triumph and a problem. I’m so disappointed that I have never tried this pizza joint until now! We stopped by on a weekday and grabbed a couple of slices of pizza, cheese bites, calzone, and antipasto salad. We were greeted by Mandy who was very welcoming, and provided great customer service throughout the time we were there. Thank you! The restaurant is very spacious and good for families and groups. All of the food items we received were made to order and were packed with flavor. The cheese bites were my favorite. You can tell they were hand made and not frozen quality. The pizza slices were also very good. Will return! :-)
